In form Mucor. A genus of fungi, originally (especially in Linnaean use) comprising diverse (chiefly mould-forming) fungi and slime moulds, but later restricted to some fifty usually saprophytic zygomycetes which produce abundant mycelium; (also mucor) a fungus of this genus.
