The Wordle solver turns the colors on your grid into a short list of answers. Feed it what each guess told you and it filters every valid five-letter word down to the ones that still fit, then ranks the best next guess so you can finish in fewer tries. It works as a Wordle solver, a Wordle unscrambler, and a next-word calculator from the same three inputs.
Drop each correctly placed letter into its position slot.
Add letters that are in the word but sitting in the wrong spot.
Add the letters your guesses ruled out completely.
The solver ranks the strongest next word from what is left.

Use the helper when you are two or three guesses in and the options feel endless. It is the same engine framed for the moment you are stuck: type the greens and yellows you already have, list the greys, and the helper shows how many words remain and which one cuts the field fastest. The fewer words left, the closer you are. A good Wordle helper does not just list answers, it tells you which guess earns the most information next.
As a Wordle word finder, the tool searches a full list of accepted five-letter words for every match to your clues. Unlike a plain word finder, it respects position: a green letter is locked to its slot, a yellow letter has to appear somewhere else, and a grey letter is excluded unless you have already confirmed it elsewhere. That is what separates a Wordle answer finder from a generic word search, and it is why the results stay short and relevant.
Every Wordle answer is five letters, so a strong list of five-letter words is half the game. Leave the inputs blank and the solver shows the best openers; add a length filter or a known letter and it narrows to fit. For a fuller reference, browse our 5-letter words list. A few reliable five-letter Wordle words to keep in mind:
Wordle is a daily word game from The New York Times. You have six guesses to find one five-letter word. After each guess, every tile turns a color: green means the letter is correct and in the right spot, yellow means the letter is in the word but somewhere else, and grey means the letter is not in the word at all. Everyone gets the same word each day, which is why sharing scores became part of the fun.
To play well, start with a word rich in common letters, read the colors carefully, and reuse what green and yellow tiles confirm. When a puzzle gets tight, the solver above does the bookkeeping so you can focus on the choice that matters: the next guess.
Wordle gets typed many ways in the heat of a guess. If you searched any of these and landed here, you are in the right place:

Enter the green, yellow, and grey letters from your grid. The solver filters a list of valid five-letter words to the ones that match every clue and ranks the best next guess.
Green means the letter is in the word and in the correct spot. Yellow means the letter is in the word but in a different spot. Grey means the letter is not in the word.
It is a personal choice. Many players use a solver to learn better strategy or when they are stuck, then play the next puzzle unaided.
The original answer list holds about 2,300 words, and the solver accepts a wider list of valid guesses.
Yes. Turn on hard mode and the solver only suggests words that reuse every clue you have already revealed.
