Designating or relating to Eucharistic elements (especially the bread) consecrated at a previous mass. Also generally: sanctified or made holy beforehand.

"Mass (also Liturgy) of the Presanctified", a particular form of Eucharistic liturgy without the consecration, at which elements consecrated at a previous celebration are consumed, used in Churches of the Byzantine Rite on many weekdays in Lent, and in some Anglican Churches (as well as, until the late 20th century, the Roman Catholic Church) on Good Friday.
