A name given to a type of woman's headdress worn in the 15th century, especially in France, consisting of a cone (or truncated cone) with a fine veil hanging from the top; also applied to a similar high headdress extending to two conical points. Occasionally (and in earliest use) also: a type of headdress worn in Burgundy and Flanders in the 15th century, of uncertain design.
